Finally - it's **ALMOST** here!!
Yo,
Let yourself imagine for a minute that you have been trying and failing for around 25 years to play on the acoustic guitar "Burn for you" sung (and written) by John Farnham. The real star of the song however is Phil Buckle's guitar arrangement.
Go here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDJMgANjLwk to see what I mean.
Now imagine while you were futilely attempting a song clearly beyond your musical ability... a new version of this song was born.
And this song is also a love letter to the Street Fighter 2 franchise.
Now imagine that on a sweltering November afternoon last year, baking in your car while waiting for your child to finish their school musical rehearsals you wrote the lyrics in one go in an intense stream of consciousness. And that stream of consciousness with only a word or two changed is what we made.
That my friends, is Karate Dude.
So as you should all know I'm more of a rapper, not a vocalist.
Marky Mark said it best in his hit track 'Good Vibrations' -
"strictly hip hop, no I aint singin' this..."
Consistent with the Tribetoons motto of "making fun stuff with cool people" I roped my best bud into doing the vocals.
Dubious of my sheer songwriting talent he was only prepared to do 3 takes so thats what I worked with, whilst I dropped some of the sickest rhymes known to human existence into this track!!
I also had to do all the music.
And learn how to use music software.
And it's dropping on monday night October 5, 8pm (my time).
Mark it in your calendar, this is biiiiiigggggg!
In the meantime get your ears prepared by relistening to my debut track 'That's my name'.
PS: I don't use AI in anything I create. (Though his should be quite apparent when looking at the completed work).
PPS: Apologies for forcing all the imaginings on you...
