High Impact Canberra Visit

My peeps,

I recently went down to Canberra, the nation's capital to watch the Canberra Brave beat up (some may say Ice) some goons from Melbourne (highly recommended - fast, fun and full of biff!!).

I also popped my head into the Canberra Geek Markets as they were also on and they were massive!!!

I was short on time there, but went to great pains to get some quality books into Mal's hands. Mal operates Impact Comics in Canberra, and though it is some kind of two and a half hour commute to get there for me, it's still my LCS (Local Comic Shop).

I dropped off some copies of the 'Brand-New-Recoloured 'A Brigand's Tale (ABT) #1'.

By now they should be comfortably placed on the shelves near Aus comic stalwarts like Killeroo, The Talking Bread, Bristlemouth, everything Ryan K Lindsay has ever written, an my personal fave - Amphibia Noir.

But it gets better, because all of the copies I gave to good old Mal also included a free sketch card - in a hard plastic sleeve!!

Why you ask? Well I don't know if you have been keeping up with the implosion that is direct market comics, but your LCS is hard up against it at the moment, having to order from multiple distributors and suppliers, and potentially being owed money AND stock by Diamond Comics.

What I'm saying is go to your LCS, or order online (for example https://impactcomics.com.au/) and spend a few bob on some sweet sequential entertainment. Or even better, launch yourself into the full colour world of ABT and get free swag!

If there was ever a time to help, now is it.

Never one to be all talk and no action, I picked up Batman Year 100, and the kids expanded their My Hero Academia and One Punch Man manga collections.

Secondly, Mal and the gang at Impact Comics are big supporters of the Aussie Comic making scene happily stocking as much local content as they can.
